📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain software for embedded systems on vehicles and equipment • Participate in the full engineering lifecycle of embedded applications • Plan and create system architecture and integrate embedded systems • Read schematics and layout files to design and debug software • Collaborate with leadership, engineering, and product teams • Conduct testing and analyses • Improve technology and engineering processes • Architect modular and reusable software across hardware platforms • Design and document APIs, user guides, and testing procedures • Analyze and enhance system resource efficiency, stability, and scalability • Interface with hardware design and development teams • Document design processes and report system results • Support customers with system integration and deployment • Ensure robust and secure wireless communication • Protect firmware from tampering

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science • 4+ years of significant experience designing electronic hardware for the automotive and/or heavy equipment industry • Strong knowledge of CAN, USB, Serial, I2C, and SPI communication buses • Ability to design hardware solutions using PIC and ARM embedded microcontrollers • Experience designing multilayer printed circuit boards using Altium Designer or similar EDA software • Experience using hand tools and soldering equipment • Involvement in the full product life cycle from prototype to production • Broad technical skill set spanning hardware and software • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Must be able to lift 5–10 lbs • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer • Employment contingent on passing a background check • Some roles require passing a drug test, depending on job responsibilities
