📋 Description

• Recruit eligible youth for Job Corps Program • Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events • Meet departmental and center goals and objectives • Conduct orientations and interviews with applicants, including parents of minors • Perform applicant file procedures, including data entry and scanning documents into e-file • Participate in departmental meetings • Coordinate with centers to support applicants in travel arrangements • Perform quality assurance checks on applicant files • Assess graduates’ and former trainees’ placement readiness and provide referrals and support services • Ensure timely placement and retention of graduates and former enrollees in quality jobs, the military, or further education and training • Promote job development through direct contact with employers, One-Stops, JTPA, and State Employment Agencies • Communicate and model appropriate CSS and employability skills • Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property • Adhere to safety practices • Foster a safe, respectful, harassment-free environment • Attend required staff training • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Above average public speaking skills and experience in same • Above average verbal and written skills • Above average problem solving and conflict resolution skills • Computer literacy, specifically Internet, e-mail, and Word Perfect/MS WORD • Ability to work some evening hours and periodic weekends • Ability to travel periodically • Four years’ experience working with youths ages 16-24 • Bachelor’s Degree • 15 semester hours of psychology preferred • Valid State Driver’s License
