📋 Description

• Lead the development of FERC resource reports and permitting strategies for natural gas pipelines and LNG facilities • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on complex, multi-million-dollar projects • Influence regulatory outcomes by engaging with key agencies and stakeholders across federal and state levels • Drive ERM’s mission to help clients achieve sustainability goals while meeting regulatory requirements • Serve as lead author on FERC resource reports and impact assessment deliverables • Research, analyze, and compile data for permit applications and regulatory reports • Act as a subject matter expert on large-scale projects, managing scope, planning, and health & safety aspects • Support technical proposals and contribute to business development initiatives • Engage with regulatory agencies such as FERC, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, EPA, and others • Ensure quality control and compliance across all FERC-related applications and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental studies, environmental management, wetland science, planning, geography, or related natural resources field, or equivalent experience • 4–6 years of experience in permitting FERC-regulated capital development projects • Proven ability to research and prepare accurate technical documents and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and analytical skills • Experience with federal, state, and local permitting for development projects • Ability to multi-task, travel frequently, and work independently with minimal supervision • Valid driver's license and/or ability to operate a company vehicle • Not eligible for immigration sponsorship • Background in natural sciences with expertise in FERC application filings for natural gas projects • Experience developing permitting strategies and documents for FERC • Familiarity with NEPA environmental siting and impact assessments for energy infrastructure projects • GIS proficiency and ability to interpret maps (National Wetland Inventory, USGS, aerial photography) • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments
