• Support the Community Pharmacy Team Manager by supervising pharmacists and technicians • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversee workflow, staffing alignment, work queues, service levels, and task completion • Serve as a first point of escalation for workflow, patient care, documentation, dispensing support, and client-specific procedures • Prioritize urgent, same-day, next-business-day, cycle-fill, and other operational requests • Monitor team productivity, quality, and timeliness and communicate concerns and improvement opportunities • Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing staff development • Reinforce standard operating procedures, documentation standards, quality expectations, and compliance requirements • Monitor Same Day Technician Pre-Check and Pharmacist Verification queues • Support ATM dispensing, Community Pharmacy Network transfers, medication procurement, billing, insurance, and processing activities • Maintain patient-specific medication profiles and care documentation • Review medication-related questions, escalations, medication requests, changes, and clinical information • Assist pharmacists with identifying medication-related problems and developing recommendations • Support medication profile review, cycle-fill review, medication review preparation, counseling, education, and clinical clarification • Support prospective drug utilization review and assigned on-call or after-hours activities • Monitor compliance, quality standards, documentation quality, dispensing support issues, and operational barriers • Support investigation and resolution of quality assurance events, HIPAA concerns, fraud, waste, abuse, and medication access issues • Provide reports, feedback, and analysis to the Community Pharmacy Team Manager • Collaborate with operations, clinical leadership, account management, IT, software development, fulfillment, and other partners • Participate in process improvement, staff education, workflow redesign, and implementation of new procedures or technology • Communicate with pharmacists, technicians, clients, prescribers, patients, caregivers, community pharmacies, and internal departments • Escalate urgent or high-risk matters and promote collaboration between pharmacists and technicians • Perform other duties as assigned
• PharmD required • BCGP required • Current, active license in the state of NJ required • Must be registered or eligible to become registered with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire • 1+ years of pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy, geriatric pharmacy, PACE, long-term care, community pharmacy, or related healthcare experience • Prior experience providing day-to-day team guidance, workflow coordination, training, mentoring, or informal leadership • Experience in a call center, centralized pharmacy, clinical operations, medication management, or high-volume pharmacy environment • Experience with quality assurance, documentation review, performance improvement, and staff coaching • Experience supporting geriatric patients, medically complex populations, or interdisciplinary care teams • Experience with internal pharmacy systems, EHR platforms, pharmacy dispensing systems, clinical decision support tools, and Microsoft Office Suite • Proficiency with MS Office Suite • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong technical and computer skills with pharmacy software • Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and project management skills • Detail-oriented and organized; able to work with urgency, under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality • Strong data entry capability • Strong analytical skills, clinical judgment, and decision-making • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse • High level of integrity • Quality-oriented, innovative, and steadfast • Schedule availability: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM ET, Thursday–Monday • Full-time availability averaging 40 hours per week, including ad hoc availability outside normal business hours • Rotating weekly on-call oversight schedule • Eligible to work in the United States
