📋 Description

• Build and maintain invoicing and reimbursement logic for contracts sold and claims paid • Reconcile inbound merchant data, operational databases, the warehouse, and accounting systems • Drive data variances to root cause and resolve breaks at the source • Build and maintain dbt financial models for revenue recognition, obligor and reinsurer reporting, and claim costs • Add tests, documentation, and PR review to financial models • Triage reported data issues, quantify impact, coordinate corrective action, hold affected invoices, and track systemic fixes • Validate claim and service order expense accuracy and automate reimbursement paths • Partner on merchant configuration and support internal audits • Build automated financial controls for loss ratios, anomalies, unexpected expenses, and attribution gaps • Investigate and correct production data against APIs and partner with engineering teams on upstream fixes • Support internal and external audits with traceable, documented, reproducible results • Report to the Director, Financial Systems Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 4-6 years in analytics or data engineering • Experience building analytical or financial models in dbt (or equivalent) under version control, with testing and PR reviews • Strong SQL skills, including efficient, well-structured SQL against large financial datasets • Ability to trace complex existing models and confirm logic matches business intent • Reconciliation skills, including identifying sources of truth and proving systems agree • Comfort working with financial data • API fluency for investigating and correcting operational data • Clear written communication with accountants and account owners • Bias toward root-cause analysis and automation • Comfort with ambiguity • Extend does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role • Bonus experience with merchant reconciliation; warranty, insurance, or service-contract programs; claims and reimbursements; order-to-cash systems; NetSuite; obligor and reinsurer reporting; or AI-assisted workflows for operational triage
