📋 Description

• Lead the Portfolio Management team in communicating and working with internal and external customers • Serve as primary point of contact for borrowers with existing small business and commercial loans in regular servicing status • Ensure diligence in servicing customer requests through fact assessment, collection and review of borrower financial records, and evaluation of loan-file completeness • Proactively monitor the portfolio to identify credit risks, recommend corrective actions and potential internal risk-rating changes, and identify new revenue opportunities • Perform duties consistent with regulatory guidance, SBA standard operating procedures, and Bank loan policy • Work with portfolio, workout, lending, legal, and management teams to supervise the commercial and SBA loan portfolio • Identify, monitor, and handle problem credits; enforce loan and credit documents • Assist with negotiating workout solutions, securing paydowns, additional collateral and guarantors, exiting credit, pursuing collection, and recommending risk-rating, accrual-status, charge-down, charge-off, retention, workout, and recovery changes • Manage the SBA Portfolio Managers, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, responding to questions, and serving as liaison between management and support staff • Establish and track KPIs/KRIs; ensure training, cross-training, collaboration, teamwork, and ongoing training opportunities • Manage existing credit relationships, ensuring credit quality, sound risk ratings, complete credit files, and adherence to policy and regulatory guidance • Complete and document quarterly loan reviews for loans in regular servicing status • Prepare internal documentation memorializing material loan changes • Structure and negotiate loan agreements; manage and resolve workout and distressed-credit situations to maximize recovery and mitigate risk • Oversee credit-department loan presentations and quarterly reviews for the chief credit officer and/or loan committee • Prepare for loan committee reviews with the chief credit officer • Respond to customer, credit, and servicing requests in accordance with SBA SOP 50 57 (4) and Bank loan policy • Identify cross-selling opportunities and promote bank lending and deposit products • Review daily delinquency reports and take action to collect past-due payments • Document customer communications in designated record-keeping platforms • Conduct compliance, quality, covenant, and exception monitoring reviews of existing loans • Monitor delinquent real-estate tax reports and loan insurance requirements, determining whether force-placed insurance is appropriate • Review SBA and Senior Portfolio Manager documentation and assist with modifications before execution

🎯 Requirements

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. • Literacy in English • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 6+ years relevant portfolio management experience • Strong analytical skills, including ability to read and assess individual and company financial statements, cash flow, industry, competition, and projections • Strong knowledge of basic banking products and commercial lending products, with ability to match solutions with borrowers • Excellent process management and improvement skills • Ability to set and monitor KPIs and KRIs • Excellent leadership skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent team management skills • Ability to perform job responsibilities with minimal direction • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and within a team • Detail oriented • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines • Excellent organizational skills • Adaptable to changing job requirements and responsibilities
