📋 Description

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions • Verify, classify, record, and reconcile financial transactions • Reconcile Accounts Payable ledgers and currency translations • Process customer payments, credit/debit memos, refunds, and invoices • Review association management systems and donation pages; record revenues • Prepare journal entries and reconcile monthly balance sheets and work papers • Process semimonthly payroll and perform payroll allocation and month-end journal entries • Answer contractor, vendor, customer, and employee inquiries • Prepare and oversee year-end Form 1099-NEC and 1099-Misc distribution • Support the year-end audit process with required schedules • Support accounting system overhaul and implementation • Perform other accounting duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or postgraduate accounting/finance coursework • 3-5 years work experience ideal • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Keen attention to detail • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills • Accounting software experience required • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills • Ability to work independently and in a predominantly remote environment • Non-profit experience a plus • DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia geographic location preferred
