📋 Description

• Provide full life-cycle project accounting support to Project Managers. • Analyze project financial performance and provide insights on project health, risks, and opportunities. • Identify potential project performance issues and communicate findings to the Regional Project Accounting Manager. • Coordinate project setup activities to ensure compliance with contract requirements and approval policies. • Review contracts and understand project scope, billing terms, funding requirements, and project structures. • Maintain project records within Oracle and manage project funding and budget updates. • Prepare monthly project reporting and provide detailed financial commentary, including unbilled and unearned revenue analysis. • Participate in project performance review meetings and provide financial guidance to project teams. • Support Project Managers and Department Managers with financial information, proposal support, pricing analysis, budgeting, audits, and special projects. • Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and partner with Project Managers on collection efforts. • Assist in resolving invoicing issues and developing corrective action plans to improve payment timing. • Ensure project revenue recognition complies with company policies and accounting standards. • Support financial review of projects, including evaluating cost-to-complete estimates and revenue recognition. • Assume ongoing project accounting ownership and provide full life-cycle financial oversight and support.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, project accounting, or a similar role. • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with Project Managers and business leaders. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Preferred: Master's degree in Accounting or Finance. • Preferred: CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification. • Preferred: Experience supporting internal or external audits. • Preferred: Experience with Oracle Project Accounting modules or a comparable ERP platform. • Preferred: Previous experience supporting project-based businesses, engineering, consulting, or professional services organizations.
