📋 Description

• Represent clients in all areas of insurance defense practice • Handle high-complexity and high-exposure cases and unique insurance defense issues • Manage cases from intake through resolution • Assume first- and/or second-chair responsibility for late-stage litigation cases, including trials • Litigate cases through trial and/or settlement in all venues • Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery and briefs • Lead hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations and trials • Develop and use trial strategies and arguments • Analyze legal precedents and identify case strengths and weaknesses • Handle matters within the attorney's states of licensure and courts of admittance • Lead knowledge sharing on industry legal trends and developments • Mentor and train other attorneys • Consult with Claims Executive teams and provide legal strategy recommendations for personal injury claims • Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and industry standards • Interpret applicable industry laws, rulings and regulations • Functionally supervise attorneys assisting with cases

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed to practice Law in applicable states required upon hire • Experience handling matters that are high complexity and/or exposure, including first chair jury trial experience, and/or comparable court experience required • Multistate jurisdictional practice strongly preferred • Expansive knowledge of both procedural and substantive law • Superlative skills in trial, public speaking and/or communication, case preparation, strategy, advocacy, negotiations, depositions, expert witnesses, damages, analysis/evaluation, reporting and client/customer service • Strong verbal communication and listening skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to command the attention of an audience • Demonstrated problem solving skills • Ability to represent the company with external constituents • Ability to handle conflict effectively and quickly interpret and respond to new information • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency using technology in a virtual, paperless environment • Bachelor's degree preferred
