📋 Description

• Assist attorneys in answering interrogatories, including interviewing clients, reducing answers to writing, reviewing work with attorneys, and preparing final answers • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records at trial attorneys’ direction • Arrange medical examinations • Assist attorneys in preparing motions and research related legal points • Assist attorneys in interviewing witnesses before and during trials as necessary • Assist attorneys in preparing documents and evidence for trial • Perform other assigned functions • Provide legal support work and conduct research as permitted by State Bar rules

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required • 2 year Associates Degree OR 3 years experience working as a Paralegal • Paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies or completion of at least one year of law school • One year experience working in a civil litigation law firm preferred • Florida PIP litigation experience • Ability to perform legal research as permitted by State Bar rules • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to a full work shift • Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods, up to a full work shift • Physical dexterity to repetitively operate a keyboard and office equipment • Ability to listen to, interpret, and differentiate auditory information • Ability to visually verify, read, and locate information • Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing 0–10 pounds • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree • Preferred: Paralegal certificate from an American Bar Association (ABA)-approved program
