📋 Description

• Perform MIS-related duties assigned by the department under general supervision • Assist with deployment of ensemble machine learning methods, deep learning, and advanced optimization techniques • Test hypotheses and draw insights from large mining datasets • Support the building, implementation, and maintenance of practical analytical assets using statistical methodologies • Use modern cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure to deliver analytics solutions at scale • Visualize analytics impact for leadership • Work scheduled and unscheduled overtime or outside normal working hours when required

🎯 Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time at the sophomore level or above at an accredited four-year university pursuing a bachelor’s or higher degree in MIS, Computer Technology, Analytics or a closely related field; OR recent graduate who graduated within 12 months prior to the internship start date with such a degree • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills • Highly accurate and detail oriented • Strong oral and written communication skills • Initiative and organizational skills • Ability to work well under pressure • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment • Ability to demonstrate the core values of Safety, Respect, Integrity, Excellence and Commitment • Preferred: experience with SQL • Preferred: ability to build complex predictive models using Python, R and/or other rigorous analytical environments • Preferred: background in breaking down problem statements into root causes and tailoring solutions based on findings • May be required to pass a medical exam • Must pass all required training and/or testing • May be required to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work at a 24/7, 365-day operation • Must comply with mandatory pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing, as allowed by applicable laws
