Feanix is a farm-focused biotech and software company that automates genetic and herd-management decisions for dairy operations. Its Autopilot product combines whole-genome sequencing, herd-management data (DairyComp, milk records, feed, health, activity monitors), and farm-specific economics into a machine-learning prediction engine that prices every cow on the farm’s actual economics. Autopilot converts trillions of datapoints into ranked, actionable recommendations (breed, beef, DNB, sell, cull, watchlist) that sync into existing farm systems and prioritize profit rather than generic genetic rankings. The platform is built to reduce low-value replacements, improve semen allocation, maintain herd-size targets, and accelerate economic gain for farms.

📋 Description

• Take over product management from the founding PM and grow it into a product function • Define hiring plans, role definitions, and discovery, prioritization, and documentation practices • Personally manage the Feanix data platform, including APIs, data products, contracts, and abstractions • Make farm onboarding faster and more flexible in partnership with Farm Success and Farm Ops • Hire and develop PMs as engineering teams form, growing to 2–3 direct reports within 12 months • Contribute to product strategy with the CEO and CTO • Own the product roadmap and prioritization through shipped products • Run the platform as a product, measuring adoption and friction and prioritizing by farm value • Bridge legacy dairy management systems to modern products • Join farm visits and trace platform decisions to the customer experience

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including experience managing and developing PMs • Experience in both a startup and a mid-size company with structured product practices is ideal • Track record of building product process, including standing up a product function or defining how product worked as the first PM • Experience as a PM for data platforms, APIs, or infrastructure products serving engineers and internal teams • Experience delivering business value from complex data, such as genomics, sensor data, or large real-world datasets • Working vision for product management in an agentic, LLM-driven world • Daily use of LLMs, agents, and automation, with demonstrable work built using them • Ability to translate technical platform capabilities into business and customer outcomes • Strong written communication • Comfort operating as a player-coach • Ability to travel 20–25% of the time, mainly to western U.S. states, customer locations, and headquarters • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States • Preferred: decision platforms or decision-support products experience • Preferred: genomics or bioinformatics exposure • Preferred: dairy industry or broader agriculture experience • Preferred: taking internal platforms to external consumers through partner APIs or integrations • Preferred: statistics and machine learning fundamentals
