📋 Description

• Process conflicts searches and new business intake requests, targeting 15–20 per day • Conduct research and cross-reference attorney, client, and matter information • Review and report potential conflicts of interest and provide recommendations where needed • Ensure accurate and consistent documentation for new matters and client engagements • Run pre-employment conflicts checks for attorney onboarding • Help resolve onboarding issues before start dates • Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure compliance requirements are met before hiring • Run and review Westlaw Due Diligence reports • Track conflict waivers, engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and billing agreements • Respond to workflow requests and inquiries from attorneys and staff • Maintain accurate records and follow firm policies supporting ethical compliance • Handle confidential information professionally and discreetly • Assist with special projects and other assigned duties • Adjust daily work schedules during high-workload periods in accordance with departmental and firm goals • Use approved technology, including AI products and AI-enabled tools, efficiently and in accordance with firm policies

🎯 Requirements

• Combination of legal experience and education preparing the candidate for work in conflicts, compliance, or corporate research • 1–2 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or law firm environment • Familiarity with legal ethics, due diligence, and compliance concepts • Experience with automated conflict-checking systems and corporate research tools • Confidence working in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Sharp attention to detail and ability to think through issues logically and independently • Strong organizational habits and ability to balance multiple priorities • Collaborative, adaptable, and open to learning in a fast-paced setting • Availability to work standard business hours in either the Mountain or Pacific time zone • Successful completion of a background check • Ability to learn and effectively use firm-approved technology, including AI products and AI-enabled tools
