📋 Description

• Support GAAP or Statutory/Tax Actuarial Valuation and Financial Reporting procedures for Fidelity & Guaranty Life • Execute GAAP or Statutory/Tax valuation processes for designated lines of business • Report to the Actuary, Actuarial Valuation or Sr. Associate Actuary • Produce reserves monthly under GAAP or Statutory/Tax bases • Develop information for preparation, review, and analysis of reserve movements • Maintain and enhance valuation controls and execute them in a timely manner • Assist in maintaining valuation programs for new products and new regulations • Complete other assigned projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science or related technical field • Successful completion of five ASA examination requirements • Minimum of one year of related actuarial experience • Strong technical, analytical, organizational, computer, and team skills • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) • Ability to learn and utilize actuarial software systems • Experience with indexed products preferred but not required • Exposure to GGY-AXIS or similar actuarial modeling software preferred • Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and displays a high energy level • Team player who has the ability to function as a key member of a small group • High degree of ownership for areas of responsibility • Effective verbal and written communication • Ability to work in a typical professional office environment • Periods of extended sitting required
