📋 Description

• Manage all payroll activities, including administrative activities performed by the Payroll Administrator • Lead and oversee the Payroll Administrator, including training, oversight, and development • Administer multi-state biweekly payroll for more than 1,000 employees accurately, timely, and in compliance with payroll tax and labor laws • Collaborate with an offshore HR/payroll vendor to administer and fund monthly payroll for offshore companies • Manage federal, state, and local tax accounts and filings with the payroll provider • Audit new-hire data, employee lifecycle changes, and other HRIS payroll entries • Oversee employee-file maintenance and coordinate with HR compliance on record retention standards and best practices • Evaluate payroll processes and lead technology, automation, process-improvement, and implementation projects • Collaborate with Finance to analyze and resolve payroll and accounting issues • Collaborate with Benefits on paid leaves of absence and mandated state and local benefit laws • Respond to employee questions concerning payroll administration, timesheets, paychecks, and tax withholdings • Oversee payroll reporting for internal and external stakeholders • Lead payroll education activities, new-hire orientations, trainings, job aids, tutorials, and intranet payroll resources • Support payroll compliance activities, including the annual 401(k) plan audit, internal SOX audits, and Workers’ Compensation audits and filings • Report to the Director, Payroll & Benefits

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field required • 5+ years of relevant experience required • Experience with ADP products, including ADP Workforce Now, highly preferred • Experience with Workday highly preferred • HRCI or SHRM certifications a plus • Self-directed and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Ability to understand work objectives and revise or adjust workload to address immediate priorities • Proactive approach and ability to continually think ahead • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to form positive working relationships with employees at all levels • Strong attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite Office products required
