📋 Description

• Shape how customers navigate, find information, and complete work across FinQuery’s expanding accounting automation platform • Design useful AI experiences that simplify workflows while providing visibility, control, and customer trust • Guide critical problems from early exploration through prototypes, customer testing, and shipped experiences • Lead customer interviews and usability testing to build customer understanding and validate product decisions • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing design team through clear feedback and priority setting • Evolve the design system with Engineering to establish accessible components and consistent interaction patterns • Leverage AI tools to prototype quickly and streamline cross-functional collaboration • Connect design decisions to measurable outcomes such as task completion, time saved, reduced errors, and adoption • Report to the SVP of Product • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and accounting experts • Set direction, coach the team, and personally design important and ambiguous experiences

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS, including 2+ years managing and developing designers • Deep UX, interaction design, and information architecture skills across complex roles, permissions, and data structures • Experience leading designers while remaining an active practitioner who directly tackles complex design problems • Practical experience designing AI-enabled or automated workflows with sound judgment around human review and error recovery • Hands-on experience using AI tools in your design process for exploration and prototyping • Proven ability to conduct customer research and usability testing that directly influences product strategy • Demonstrated success building or evolving design systems alongside engineering teams • Strong visual judgment and attention to accessibility, content, and implementation quality • Clear communication skills and the ability to influence senior partners through evidence and practical reasoning • Experience in accounting, finance, compliance, or domain areas where accuracy and traceability matter (bonus) • Background bringing multiple products into a shared platform or modernizing established software (bonus) • Track record of building a design practice or establishing research and critique habits in small teams (bonus) • Familiarity with front-end development to support rapid interaction prototyping and engineering collaboration (bonus)
