📋 Description

• Plan for, assure, and continuously improve the quality of software products developed by the company • Test and verify functional requirements, usability, and technical communications for company products • Design, create, and execute formal test plans • Automate smoke tests and regression tests • Provide product-quality data to support informed release decisions • Represent the quality perspective to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant to business and technical partners • Develop and/or use use cases to ensure product usability • Conduct end-to-end manual test scenarios based on customer usage • Perform negative testing, including boundary-limit, unexpected-input, and invalid-data-type testing • Produce and manage realistic market data throughout testing • Gather customer or internal product data to recreate or accurately test product areas • Perform time-boxed exploratory testing based on risks identified with product management, development, and support • Validate user documentation • Investigate and report defects • Provide test estimates and actuals • Develop, execute, and improve software test plans and methods • Create clear, complete, repeatable, and automation-ready test plans • Automate routine regression testing, including smoke testing for builds • Map requirements into functional test plans and provide requirements-to-test-case traceability • Participate in design discussions and reviews, providing the end-user perspective • Review technical documentation for accuracy, clarity, and completeness • Participate in Scrum, quality, technical, and group meetings • Become a product expert and provide cross-training to peers and Support • Track assigned tasks and defects and provide completion estimates • Estimate resources required for projects and contribute to staffing plans and funding requests • Research and evaluate functionality in assigned areas • Maintain and expand testing knowledge through training and ongoing learning

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science, Manufacturing Processes, or Business from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 4-6 years work experience in software testing and business process analysis • Familiarity with internal testing techniques and quality metrics • Minimum guidance Milestone reviews, exception reporting, and management reporting • Responsible for full-cycle control testing aspect on significant projects • In depth knowledge of functional product areas • Working knowledge of related technologies and project management tools and deliverables used in the Technology Division processes • Proficiency in the use of desktop support tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio • Working knowledge of scripting and test automation tools • Ability to generate test metrics for project(s) • Demonstrated mastery of testing process including test plan design and Ontario Systems’ ODF • Demonstrated capability in test plan implementations • Advanced understanding of the processes used in Technology • Advanced knowledge of finance and credit industry concepts • An advanced understanding of one or more products and several product functions and the interdependencies between them • Certification as a CSQA from the Quality Assurance Institute is preferred
