📋 Description

• Provide in-house legal and regulatory advice on topics affecting the mortgage servicing and origination industry • Advise on mortgage servicing document requirements • Provide legal counsel to operational teams • Draft contracts, policies and product forms • Interface occasionally with regulatory authorities • Report to management on changes in applicable law and regulatory trends • Facilitate division and company business objectives through timely and effective legal support • Minimize potential legal exposure and risk • Provide practical, timely, and high-quality legal counsel and guidance to assigned divisions and departments • Work with the independent Corporate Compliance Department to ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Law Degree required • Admitted to practice law in the US • Typically has 1-3 years professional experience in area of specialization • Licensed to practice law, in good standing • Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to mortgage servicing and origination • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations • Developed legal research, written and verbal communication skills • Good organizational skills with the ability to multi task, prioritize and work under pressure • Demonstrated ability to manage workload and balance competing priorities • Ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates and external company contacts • Microsoft office products
