📋 Description

• Lead Flagstar’s stress testing and capital planning program • Coordinate cross-functional teams to collect and integrate required data and materials • Maintain and update capital planning documents, policies, and contingency plans • Lead internal stress test scenario design based on idiosyncratic risks • Oversee review and challenge sessions for forecasted results, including PPNR and credit losses • Perform sensitivity analysis and apply appropriate overlays • Prepare and submit regulatory stress testing reports and the final capital plan • Produce summaries of stress test results and recommended capital actions for senior management and the Board • Perform ad hoc capital analyses, including peer comparisons • Ensure quality controls, data governance, data integrity, and compliance with risk management standards • Resolve data issues with Data Governance teams • Support regulatory, risk, and internal audits and address findings • Manage examination requests, company resources, program risks, deliverables, planning, and resource allocation • Oversee talent management, including hiring, performance evaluations, staff development, disciplinary actions, and succession planning • Advise senior leadership on capital efficiency and risk mitigation opportunities • Uphold capital planning governance and policy adherence • Monitor evolving regulatory expectations and industry best practices • Implement stress testing process improvements and model updates • Perform special projects and additional duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a related discipline • 6+ years of experience in financial risk management, capital planning, or stress testing • Involvement in enterprise stress testing processes or regulatory capital plan preparation • Knowledge of regulatory capital requirements and stress testing frameworks, including DFAST/CCAR and Basel III • Proficiency in financial modeling and scenario analysis • Advanced Excel skills • Ability to lead cross-functional projects or teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to present complex financial analyses to senior executives • Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-orientation, accuracy, and prioritization skills • Preferred: Master's degree or postgraduate equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or professional certification such as CFA or FRM • Preferred: Experience at a bank subject to regulatory stress testing and with regulatory examinations • Preferred: Familiarity with data governance, model risk management, liquidity risk, resolution planning, data analysis tools, or statistical modeling • Travel requirements: 10% or less • Must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
