📋 Description

• Lead engineering managers supporting software engineering teams delivering end-to-end software products from conception to production for millions of drivers • Manage and grow engineering managers and engineers through performance feedback, career coaching, and development opportunities • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of software projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards • Lead front-end teams driving UI/UX and internal and external API teams delivering backend services • Partner with product and design teams to define project requirements and priorities • Manage project risks and dependencies; proactively identify and resolve issues • Monitor project progress and provide regular stakeholder updates • Participate in recruiting and hiring engineering teams • Review and provide feedback on product designs and software architectures • Improve the engineering delivery pipeline, reducing cycle time and increasing quality and security • Apply advanced concepts and principles to create multidisciplinary innovations and solutions for complex business situations • Develop and socialize engineering principles and practices • Provide thought leadership across organizations and eliminate knowledge silos • Drive continuous improvement and build a learning organization • Evaluate and recommend emerging products and technologies • Act as a liaison between the team and other Ford Pro departments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • 12+ years of experience in software development • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C++, or Go • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role managing people, leading teams, managing managers, and delivering software products to market • 5+ years of experience leading teams that build customer-facing, browser-based applications • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue • 5+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP • 3+ years of experience leading teams that design, build, and scale internal and external APIs • Strong understanding of service-oriented and microservices architectures • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred) • Experience with connected vehicles or IoT devices • Experience with data analytics and machine learning • Experience with DevOps practices and tools • Familiarity with the automotive industry and commercial vehicle operations • Strong understanding of Agile and Lean software development methodologies • Experience presenting to an executive leadership team
