📋 Description

• Write new and update existing SEO-optimized, audience-centered content • Conduct research, leverage data, and seek relevant perspectives • Present content that is clear, accurate, insightful, and compliant with regulatory requirements • Learn and incorporate SEO best practices to improve visibility and performance • Apply the Freedom Mortgage brand voice, tone, and style across mediums • Source and fact-check content before publication • Meet deadlines by following production, workflow, and quality control processes • Monitor industry-related news, AI tools, and content trends • Meet with key internal stakeholders and attend regular meetings • Perform other related duties as assigned • Serve as an individual contributor

🎯 Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Economics, Communications, or a related field • High School Graduate/GED required • Less than One (1) year related work experience • Ability to research and write long-form articles on assigned mortgage or financial topics • Ability to pitch ideas for new and interesting angles • Prior work experience or university involvement in a writing capacity preferred • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in team and cross-functional settings, in-person and remotely • Willingness to learn Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices • Willingness to meet with key internal stakeholders and attend regular meetings • Effective communication and ability to accept and implement feedback • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance • Must comply with company policies and procedures
