📋 Description

• Lead the development, writing, editing, and management of a portfolio of existing grants • Collaborate with development, conservation, and finance staff to secure and steward institutional funding • Develop compelling grant proposals • Oversee grant reporting and compliance requirements • Maintain grant records and submission deadlines • Identify prospective funding opportunities • Prepare proposals and reports • Translate programmatic and technical information into clear, persuasive narratives • Manage multiple grant-writing and reporting projects simultaneously • Serve as project lead on assigned initiatives • Ensure accountability for project goals, deliverables, and deadlines • Resolve complex issues in collaboration with Development • Gather information across departments and ensure compliance with grant requirements • Work independently within established program goals and priorities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum 7 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience crafting organization- or company-wide communication tools, including branding • Experience writing, editing and proofreading messages for targeted audiences • Experience presenting to various audiences, including internal and external executives, donors, members, board members, and the public, or equivalent • Experience implementing and managing multiple complex projects • Multi-lingual skills appreciated • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred • Experience developing, implementing and measuring communication and engagement plans/strategies • Experience in journalism or fundraising writing and editing • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills • Familiarity with communication technologies and best practices • Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in the relevant discipline • Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data • Successful applicant must meet The Nature Conservancy’s background screening requirements
