📋 Description

• Review and analyze electronic information regarding new engagements and new hires to identify, report, and address potential legal, business, and positional conflicts of interest • Conduct electronic research using Westlaw, Google, and other research tools to identify, eliminate, clarify, and resolve conflict- and ethics-related issues • Analyze and resolve conflicts of interest and provide concise information to firm attorneys • Prepare, review, and analyze engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, ethics-related disclosures, waivers, ethical screens, and disengagement letters • Analyze work of others in the Office of Legal Affairs and provide guidance on conflicts of interest and ethics issues • Communicate with firm attorneys, business professionals, General Counsel, and Assistant General Counsel – Conflicts • Assist in developing training and education programs for legal and non-legal staff • Close client and/or matter accounts according to firm policy or as requested

🎯 Requirements

• JD degree • At least three years of legal experience in a law firm • Active bar license in good standing strongly preferred • At least three years of experience conducting electronic research • Familiarity with Intapp conflicts and client intake software preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook, and conflicts-related programs • Prior experience with Aderant a plus • Working knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct • Experience with legal ethics and conflicts issues in a law firm environment • Strong analytical, critical thinking, legal research, and writing skills • Exceptional attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills • Ability to work efficiently and independently on multiple projects with shifting priorities and tight deadlines • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
