📋 Description

• Align and promote strong security controls and mitigations across teams through architectural reviews • Review system designs and implementations, assess security posture, and make architecture recommendations using threat modeling • Use scripts and internal tools to ensure coverage of the security agent suite across enterprise platforms • Develop automation using Python and other programs to integrate systems • Write policies and procedures documentation • Oversee regular vulnerability scanning across network, container, and cloud environments • Design and implement infrastructure security controls for servers, cloud environments, and container platforms • Contribute to HiTrust and ISO 27001 compliance initiatives • Support customer and vendor audits • Participate in the on-call roster, including hours outside normal business hours • Manage security tools covering endpoint protection, mobile device security, vulnerability management, network protection, transmission protection, password management, access control, and security awareness

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in security engineering, focused on infrastructure, application, and cloud security • Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes (K8s) and container platforms in production • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Terraform, or similar • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proven work experience in an Engineering discipline • Experience building and maintaining security systems in cloud and on-premises environments • Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering • Experience with network security, networking technologies, and system, security, and network monitoring tools • Understanding of current security principles, techniques, protocols, and best practices, including CIS benchmarks, NIST, and OWASP • Familiarity with web technologies, web applications, web services, APIs, and network/web protocols • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure • Travel within the U.S. may be required on an irregular basis • BS degree in Computer Science or related field • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or OSCP • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods and perform the listed physical requirements • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Visa sponsorship is not available
