📋 Description

• Partner with the PM and Strategy team to turn emerging business ideas into testable questions and define validation criteria • Own validation sprints end to end, from framing assumptions and selecting methods through execution and synthesis • Conduct surveys, customer interviews, onsite ethnographic research, diary studies, concept and prototype tests, and landing-page or demand tests • Build prototypes ranging from paper sketches and Figma flows to functional AI-assisted coded prototypes • Use AI tools to accelerate design, prototyping, coding, and research synthesis • Recruit and engage coaches, players, families, and prospective customers in new markets and sports • Deliver evidence-backed go/no-go recommendations to leadership, including recommendations not to pursue opportunities • Package validated opportunities, evidence, concepts, and open questions for product-team handoff • Collaborate with User Research, Data & Analytics, Strategy, Product, and Engineering partners • Help establish the Studio team's playbook, cadence, and standards for sufficient confidence • Report directly to the VP of Design

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience • Ideally, experience with 0-to-1 work such as early-stage startups, new product incubation, innovation teams, or founding a company • Strategic curiosity about the business and whether opportunities should be built • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and able to determine the fastest path to an answer • Comfortable working with high autonomy and ambiguity • Able to plan, recruit for, moderate, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research independently • Versatile prototyping skills across sketches, interactive prototypes, and functional customer-facing prototypes • Fluent with or eager to master AI tools for design, prototyping, coding, and research synthesis • Strong storytelling skills for presenting findings and recommendations to executives • Intellectually honest and evidence-oriented • Knowledge of or passion for sports and their communities • Bonus: early-stage startup, incubation, venture, or new-bets experience • Bonus: experience validating international expansion or new-market opportunities • Bonus: comfort with lightweight data analysis and experiment-result interpretation • Must be based in the United States; unable to hire in AK, DE, HI, IA, LA, MS, MT, OK, and SC • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
