📋 Description

• Design and evolve enterprise cybersecurity architectures protecting mission-critical systems and data across global IT environments • Develop reference architectures, security patterns, and technical roadmaps aligned with federal cybersecurity requirements, DoW guidance, and industry best practices • Translate mission, business, and compliance needs into secure, resilient architectural solutions • Architect end-to-end security solutions across network, endpoint, identity, cloud, and application layers • Lead design and optimization of SIEM, log management, endpoint protection, and supporting data-pipeline services • Define technical requirements, security controls, and implementation standards aligned to Zero Trust and risk-management frameworks • Guide configuration and operation of cybersecurity tools, including logging strategies, detection use cases, dashboards, and alerting logic • Collaborate with engineering and operations personnel to ensure effective monitoring, detection, and response capabilities • Recommend enhancements and modernization initiatives for existing security capabilities • Embed RMF, DoW, and agency-specific compliance and risk-management requirements into architectures • Contribute to System Security Plans and accreditation artifacts • Utilize eMASS and implement DISA STIGs, SCAP/SCC scans, and related tools • Create and maintain architectural diagrams, technical standards, design documents, and decision records • Communicate cybersecurity concepts to leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams • Coordinate with customer representatives, program leadership, and cross-functional IT teams • Mentor cybersecurity engineers and analysts and review designs and configurations • Contribute to standards, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing efforts • Serve as a technical resource for customer-facing architecture discussions and risk trade-offs • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues • Support periodic after-hours activities for troubleshooting, critical changes, or incident response

🎯 Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; must be maintained • Top Secret clearance must currently be possessed • U.S. citizenship required • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information assurance, or related field, or equivalent experience • 10+ years in IT, cybersecurity, or information assurance roles • Experience designing and implementing security solutions and architectures in complex environments • 2+ years of Red Hat Linux engineering • 2+ years of Windows Server administration • 2+ years working with SIEM platforms, preferably Splunk or Elastic Search • Experience with SIEM data ingestion, correlation, and use cases • Experience applying DISA STIGs, using SCAP/SCC scanning tools, and working with CCRI and RMF processes • Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or BASH scripting highly preferred • Familiarity with TLS and SSL certificate management and integration • Knowledge or experience with VMware ESXi, NetApp, or SAN architectures • Baseline certification(s) meeting minimum DoW 8570.01-M IAT Level II required before start, such as CompTIA Security+ CE • Additional computing environment certification must be obtained within six months of hire, based on position designation • Must conform to DoW 8140 certification standards when implemented • Ability to support work schedules that may change based on mission requirements • Less than 10% travel required
