📋 Description

• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, repair, and perform planned maintenance on customer biomedical equipment • Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs • Perform planned maintenance, safety and environmental inspections, and maintain customer relations • Follow and guide others on GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and required documentation • Communicate and partner with teammates, colleagues, and customers to ensure resolution and follow-up • Implement GE/customer facility contracts in support of business goals and objectives • Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on basic and complex repairs • Provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area • Share on-call/pager responsibility, including after-hours and weekend coverage as necessary • Document repair actions and submit reports and summaries according to schedule • Maintain spares, tools, test equipment, calibration, and approved parts inventory • Manage vendors' service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies • Maintain technical knowledge of standards, codes, and procedures for safe medical equipment use • May serve as Site Leader and direct activities of Biomedical Technicians assigned to a site • Meet Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements • Complete required quality and compliance training and report customer quality or compliance concerns

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical or mechanical equipment; OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment • Analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to customers clearly • Must comply with GE HealthCare's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test • Must comply with customer access policies, including required immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks when applicable • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Willingness to work after hours or a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods • Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity • Required vision abilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception • Awareness of and compliance with GEHC quality policies, goals, laws, and regulations • Complete planned quality and compliance training within defined deadlines
