• Define and execute a multi-year global research and evidence-generation strategy across the Patient Care Solutions portfolio • Identify evidence gaps and requirements supporting product development, validation, regulatory submissions, market access, and marketing claims • Advise leadership on research priorities, investment decisions, portfolio governance, and long-range evidence planning • Establish metrics and governance processes for research investments • Lead a global portfolio of clinical, real-world evidence, digital health, outcomes research, and health economic studies • Lead and mentor a global team of approximately 10 professionals • Oversee prospective, retrospective, pragmatic, adaptive, database, and multi-site research programs • Evaluate study concepts, protocols, endpoints, and methodologies • Drive dissemination through peer-reviewed publications, scientific congresses, and evidence-based communications • Develop the global health economics and outcomes research program strategy • Generate evidence on cost of care, workflow efficiency, resource utilization, operational performance, patient and clinician outcomes, and economic value • Establish strategic relationships with academic medical centers, healthcare systems, investigators, research networks, professional societies, and key opinion leaders • Lead senior-level research engagements, scientific steering committees, and partnership governance • Represent Patient Care Solutions and GE HealthCare within the scientific community • Develop and manage the global research budget and multi-year investment plan • Establish portfolio prioritization processes and identify external funding and collaborative research opportunities • Communicate portfolio performance, risks, and investment recommendations to executive leadership • Ensure compliance with regulations, ethical standards, quality requirements, and company policies • Integrate research plans into product roadmaps, regulatory strategies, clinical evidence plans, and commercialization efforts • Foster scientific excellence, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and inclusion
• Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in medicine, nursing, public health, epidemiology, health economics, engineering, biomedical science, or a related clinical or scientific field • Minimum of 8 years of experience with clinical research methodologies, real-world evidence, health economics, outcomes research, company and/or investigator-initiated studies • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical research, medical affairs, evidence generation, health economics, research collaborations, or related functions within healthcare, medical technology, life sciences, or academia • Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in the MedTech, pharma, or biotech industry leading global research portfolios, budgets, and multidisciplinary team members • Demonstrated proficiency in global research regulations, quality systems, and human-subject research requirements • Track record of successful strategic partnerships with healthcare systems, academic institutions, and scientific leaders • Proficiency in statistical analytics, power analysis, and predictive enrollment modeling • No employment visa sponsorship; must be legally authorized to work in the United States • MD, PhD, MPH, DrPH, or related master’s degree is desired • Experience in relevant patient care, digital health, AI-enabled medical technologies, and/or informatics domains is desired • Experience integrating clinical, economic, and market evidence into product strategy and business planning is desired • Established academic, clinical, and scientific partner network is desired • Experience representing research leadership to global regulatory authorities, including FDA and MDR CE mark initiatives, is desired • Track record of publications, scientific presentations, and professional organization leadership is desired
