📋 Description

• Design and implement AI solutions for semi-structured data, including problem framing, data curation, and evaluation across classification, entity extraction, and summarization • Develop high-quality Agentic AI and RAG workflows, optimizing ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector indexing • Technically evaluate novel technologies and inform effort/improvement tradeoffs • Learn and iterate with novel technologies and procedures, particularly generative AI • Monitor and improve model performance metrics and recommendations, incorporating business partner feedback • Implement generative AI techniques and technologies, including prompt and LLM fine-tuning, RAG, agentic workflows, and tool designs • Translate business stakeholder objectives into measurable outcomes • Frame business needs into statistical problems and develop solutions balancing technical complexity with timely value delivery • Explain the rationale and methodology behind recommendations to build trust • Advocate for and educate stakeholders on data-driven decision-making and analytical methods • Identify and develop long-term data science processes, frameworks, tools, and standards • Collaborate with product owners, business partners, and other Data Scientists

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or another related field • 6+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of relevant experience in Data Science • Strong foundation in statistical reasoning and critical thinking • Proven track record of solving stakeholder problem statements • Experience with Python, including exposure to package development and foundational programming principles • Experience with generative AI concepts, including embeddings, LLMs, agents, and RAG • Experience writing complex SQL queries • Understanding of data warehousing and complex databases • Experience with machine learning and data visualization tools • Ability to identify questionable data and address it • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • General Mills will not sponsor applicants for work visas • Minimum age of 18 • Preferred: experience developing and deploying Python packages and managing large-scale projects • Preferred: experience developing/deploying generative AI technology, including agents, RAG, or similar • Preferred: experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar technology • Preferred: applied experience in consumer goods/supply chain • Preferred: Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Statistics
