📋 Description

• Lead transportation strategy, sourcing, governance, resource planning, and logistics execution across an assigned portfolio of domestic and international projects • Support ITO Project Logistics Leads with logistics concepts, budgetary freight estimates, transportation schedules, sourcing strategies, risk assessments, and tender assumptions • Review and challenge logistics solutions for commercial competitiveness, operational feasibility, and alignment with project requirements • Transition logistics strategies, budgets, schedules, assumptions, risks, and contractual commitments from ITO to OTR after project award • Maintain portfolio-level oversight of logistics execution through final delivery • Directly lead and develop Project Logistics Managers, Logistics Specialists, and Logistics Coordinators • Plan resources, balance workloads, coach employees, manage performance, develop capabilities, and plan succession • Consolidate shipment demand and develop portfolio-wide transportation sourcing strategies • Oversee RFQs, carrier bid analysis, commercial evaluations, supplier assessments, negotiations, Statements of Work, purchase orders, and contracts • Monitor logistics cost, schedule, risk, supplier performance, transportation capacity, and resource requirements • Partner with Commercial, Project Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customs and Trade Compliance, Finance, Site Operations, and Corporate Logistics • Conduct or support logistics feasibility reviews, supplier-readiness reviews, transportation assessments, and operational evaluations • Resolve complex transportation, supplier, capacity, commercial, contractual, and project escalations • Develop carrier networks and strategic sourcing programs for specialized project cargo, heavy haul, superloads, over-dimensional cargo, breakbulk, rail, ocean, and multimodal transportation • Manage logistics budgets, forecasts, actual costs, financial commitments, cost-to-complete, KPIs, and portfolio analytics • Support Transportation Management System implementation, shipment visibility, logistics technology, reporting, and digital-transformation initiatives • Standardize logistics processes, templates, planning tools, governance practices, KPIs, and operational reporting • Drive continuous-improvement and cross-functional process-improvement initiatives • Travel domestically and internationally to support supplier assessments, feasibility reviews, transportation planning, execution-readiness evaluations, and facility, port, warehouse, rail, and jobsite visits

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience • Minimum of 10–12 years of progressive experience in project logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field • Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including direct responsibility for employee performance, development, workload management, and resource allocation • Experience supporting large-scale industrial, infrastructure, energy, utility, data-center, or capital-project environments • Experience managing domestic and international multimodal transportation activities • Demonstrated experience with transportation sourcing, carrier negotiations, contract development, supplier management, and logistics execution • Experience managing multiple complex projects or a portfolio of projects with competing priorities, risks, and resource requirements • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on business and project requirements • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Strong knowledge of heavy haul, superloads, over-dimensional cargo, breakbulk ocean, rail, port operations, and multimodal transportation • Knowledge of customs procedures, international trade compliance, Incoterms, import and export requirements, and dangerous-goods transportation • Experience developing transportation strategies, carrier networks, sourcing programs, logistics budgets, and project-execution plans • Strong commercial judgment and experience reviewing logistics budgets, estimates, bids, contracts, and supplier proposals • Strong negotiation, analytical, quantitative, decision-making, and problem-solving skills • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Proven project and portfolio management skills • Ability to establish, manage, forecast, and maintain operational and project logistics budgets
