📋 Description

• Own technical scope execution, design, and production implementation for controls system projects covering nuclear and fossil steam turbines • Identify and mitigate technical risks across the complete controls scope • Provide technical ownership from commercial inquiry through customer commercial operation for high-risk and complex projects • Support commercial teams with technical inputs for customer proposals • Support and influence new product development and sustaining requirements • Drive architecture, top-level design, verification, validation, and commissioning requirements • Ensure system safety, function, performance, interface, reliability, and maintainability requirements are met • Support and influence test plans, customer system tests, site installation, startup, and commissioning • Coordinate customer requirements and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle • Support Project Engineers in customer discussions and reviews • Drive consistent solutions across the controls scope • Apply and enforce Mark VIe controls platform software, design practices, and engineering processes • Use and maintain control application software libraries • Provide customer product support • Ensure compliance with internal and industry technical regulations, standards, and regulatory requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of design experience in steam turbine controls engineering • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering • Nuclear power generation controls or plant operational experience • Experience in design and application of GE power generation controls, HMI, electrical, and cyber systems • Strong understanding of steam turbine and plant systems operation and integration with other systems • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills • Ability to apply engineering principles to analyze, design, and troubleshoot steam turbine control retrofit systems • Oral and written communication and presentation skills • Experience in power generation projects, customer work, project management, and/or EPCs • Systems-level thinking • Experience in a matrix organization, working cross-functionally • Ability to meet goals and objectives • Ability to proactively identify and resolve technical issues • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Visio, and Office Suite • Access to U.S. export-controlled information requires authorization from the U.S. Government, if applicable • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
