📋 Description

• Complete maintenance and large component replacement on wind turbine generators throughout the United States • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable-pitch and variable-speed turbines • Oversee contractors • Support team objectives with focus on safety, quality, and execution • Support Field Engineers and Lead Field Specialists • Complete required training for Up Tower Qualifications standards • Participate in pre-job meetings covering lift plans, LOTO, schedules, weather, hazards, and job site or landowner requirements • Assist with site preparation and coordination of labor and materials with minimal supervision • Document work using computer-based service reporting procedures • Communicate site status to engineering, customers, and management

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Wind Turbine Technician OR completion of a Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, renewable energy, or similar field • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 90% of the time • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license • Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs • Ability and willingness to climb towers up to 300 feet • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions • Ability to meet OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300 lbs maximum • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings • Ability and willingness to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulations • Ability to write reports and perform basic arithmetic • Ability and willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities • Ability and willingness to be available for rotating shift schedules 24 hours a day, seven days a week • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
