• Execute contractual obligations per customer requirements with site and hub leadership • Perform electrical and mechanical work on equipment used in GE wind turbine generators • Maintain, repair, or replace parts to correct malfunctions • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable-pitch and variable-speed turbines • Support all areas of site operations as directed by the manager with minimal supervision • Observe all safety requirements • Perform diagnostic electrical analysis • Document all work using computer-based service reporting procedures • Work with and respond to GE’s remote operations center when necessary • Travel locally within Texas hub 10
• High School Diploma or GED • 1+ year(s) experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience • Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment • Basic computer skills • Valid driver’s license • Ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs. • Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet daily • Must meet specified manufacturer weight limits not exceeding 300 lbs. including required gear • Ability and willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities • Ability to prioritize work according to contract obligations • Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision • Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call per site needs • Ability to work occasional overnights as required by hub needs • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
