• Provide technical support for FAA programs and systems including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, and other Field Services programs • Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment at customers’ remote locations • Provide scheduled and on-call field support at customer locations within the assigned area • Travel to remote sites outside the assigned area when needed to support FAA customer needs • Read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Document work performed and events at customer locations • Work with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk by phone to resolve field issues • Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and personal or company vehicle • Prepare for assigned tasks before dispatch • Follow L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures with the supervisor/ASL
• High School Diploma/equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record • Ability to obtain and maintain a FAA Public Trust Clearance • Ability to obtain and maintain active FAA Security Clearance • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time to remote sites within a 3-hour drive circle of base location; may travel outside assigned region • Ability to work from home in an on-call status • Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours and respond to after-hours emergency calls • Ability to lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 feet • Ability to read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders • Good administrative skills, including note-taking and documentation • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work in a high-stress and high-visibility environment • Good working knowledge of cable connectors including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, and RS-449 • Excellent working knowledge of fiber; working knowledge of multiplexes, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET, ATM, private line, and voice/data applications • Good working knowledge of AC/DC power testing, including 3-phase AC, and 24VDC/48VDC power supplies • Experience with network and circuit testing using T1, DS3, BERT, and analog VG testing within Bellcore standards • Working knowledge and use of network test equipment such as JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, and Para-scope or equivalent T1/DS3 test sets • IP-based knowledge and experience configuring routers and switches • Experience installing equipment racks • Preferred: Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, A+
