📋 Description

• Prioritize shipments by ETA and ensure timely submission to CBP and CBSA • Monitor alerts, investigate and resolve rejects, and address release issues • Assign appropriate tariff classifications and PGA data • Complete carrier eManifests • Manage pre- and post-release activity, including RMD corrections • Monitor entries through CADEX and take action when needed • Communicate with customs representatives, clients, carriers, vendors, and internal teams • Maintain clear eLogs and supporting documentation • Investigate irregularities and take appropriate action to keep shipments moving while protecting compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of the customs release process, including pre- and post-release activities • Working knowledge of CBP and CBSA requirements • Experience with tariff classification and Partner Government Agency requirements • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Exceptional attention to detail • Ability to prioritize time-sensitive shipments and competing deadlines • Confidence communicating with clients, customs authorities, carriers, vendors, and teammates • Ability to work independently and know when to escalate issues • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel • Approximately 5 years of customs brokerage or related industry experience • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation • High school diploma or equivalent • U.S. Customs Broker License is an asset • Experience with Canadian and U.S. customs release processes is strongly preferred • Evening and overnight availability, with shifts typically beginning around 6:00 or 7:00 PM Eastern Time • Occasional weekend availability • Scheduling flexibility to accommodate evening and overnight shifts
