📋 Description

• Build and own Giga's commissioning program, including standards, procedures, templates, and quality bar, across all active projects • Lead and develop a team of Cx Leads and Managers, assign portfolio coverage, and directly support the highest-risk or most complex projects • Own commissioning scheduling and resourcing across simultaneous data center builds, coordinating with construction and project leadership to protect turnover milestones • Serve as the primary accountability point to ownership and executive stakeholders for portfolio-wide commissioning status, risk, and readiness • Set and enforce standards for commissioning plans, FPTs, and IST procedures aligned with OPR and BOD • Own vendor and Cx subcontractor strategy, including selection, contracting, and performance management • Establish and maintain deficiency tracking and commissioning record-keeping standards for clean, auditable handoff packages • Report commissioning progress, risk, and budget to executive leadership and translate field issues into program-level decisions • Own the commissioning budget and make trade-off decisions on resourcing, tooling, and staffing

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in commissioning, with 5+ years managing or leading a team of Cx professionals across multiple concurrent projects • Demonstrated experience commissioning mission-critical, data center, or large-scale industrial facilities at a program or portfolio level, not just single-project execution • Track record building or significantly scaling a commissioning function, standard, or team from the ground up • Deep working knowledge of MEP and electrical systems — generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling infrastructure, BMS/controls — sufficient to set standards and adjudicate technical disputes • Experience managing commissioning budgets and vendor/subcontractor relationships across multiple simultaneous projects • Strong track record presenting to and advising executive or ownership-level stakeholders on program risk and status • Ability to read and interpret single-line electrical diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and controls sequences of operation • Bonus: Direct experience building the commissioning function at a hyperscale or colocation data center company • Bonus: Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), BCxA accreditation, or equivalent certification • Bonus: Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or commissioning-specific platforms (e.g., Cx Alloy, FACTSuite) at a program-administration level • Bonus: Experience scaling a construction or commissioning function inside a high-growth or startup environment
