Gigawatt is an AI-focused software company building an enterprise-grade operating system for electric utilities. It uses large-scale AI to optimize power delivery, improve grid health and flexibility, and enhance customer experience while embedding industry-specific security and regulatory compliance. The company emphasizes rapid development cycles and utility-domain expertise to modernize legacy utility systems and enable a more resilient, efficient grid.

📋 Description

• Lead Gigawatt’s Integrations & Developer Platform team • Own the integration surface including GraphQL APIs, SDKs, export formats, logs, and diagnostics • Drive strategy and roadmap for integrations, data quality tooling, and outbound data products • Define and curate canonical integration flows across source systems and modules • Establish data mastering decisions for core utility entities and define governance, synchronization, and reconciliation • Design APIs, SDKs, documentation, sandboxes, reference implementations, and self-diagnosing error messages for external partners • Own API versioning, backward compatibility, and deprecation policy • Coordinate the boundary between integration flows/data contracts and AI Platform agent APIs • Surface and attribute data-quality issues, provide resolution paths, and establish hard gates where correctness is critical • Define outbound data products across reverse ETL, event streams, APIs, files, and managed Snowflake • Define criteria for promoting services-built integrations into the product • Support the lighthouse deployment without becoming its integration team • Drive production-ready releases with engineering on compressed timelines • Define use cases and technical requirements, collaborate on data model and API design, and conduct product testing • Set and manage KPIs including time-to-integrate, API coverage, data quality incidents, and post-go-live support load • Manage platform dependencies and help determine how the role evolves as the company scales • Report to the SVP of Product and lead one product team • Partner with engineering, services, data science, AI Platform, and utility customers

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in product management • Significant experience with integration, API, or data platform products used by external parties • Experience shipping APIs, SDKs, or connector frameworks relied on by third parties in production • Experience with versioning, deprecation, and partner escalations • Experience shipping software in customer environments, on-premise or hybrid • Experience with version skew, customer-controlled upgrades, and debugging without data access • Experience integrating messy legacy enterprise systems with customer-specific implementations • Point of view on profiling, freshness, lineage, anomaly detection, and when to flag versus block data pipelines • Fluency across reverse ETL, event streaming, batch and file transfer, and API delivery • Warehouse fundamentals sufficient to own a Snowflake-based offering • Experience handling requests to ship one-off functionality into core product and defending product boundaries • Ability to bridge partners, SMEs, services, and engineering • Strong communication and structured problem-solving • Comfort with early-stage ambiguity and rapidly changing responsibilities • Utility experience is a plus, not a requirement • Bonus exposure to MV90, CC&B, SAP IS-U, MDM, AMI head-ends, EAM, GIS, wholesale market operations, or prior software/data engineering experience • Experience with Jira, Figma, and standard product management tools

🏖️ Benefits

• Competitive salary and equity • Comprehensive health insurance • Remote flexibility • 401k match • Opportunity to shape a transformative AI product in a vital industry with a rock-star team
