📋 Description

• Develop, retain, and increase girl/adult membership. • Recruit and provide ongoing support to volunteers. • Participate in developing and implementing plans for membership growth and retention through volunteer work. • Schedule and manage recruitment events in assigned areas approximately 2-3 times per week during peak seasons, individually or with volunteer assistance. • Deliver or support delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience until adults are trained and ready to serve as volunteers. • Provide direct support to troops/girls when required. • Promote Girl Scouting’s message of belonging to community groups, organizations, and other constituencies within the council area. • Provide onboarding and ongoing support, supervision, conflict management, and direction to volunteers by interpreting council policies, standards, and procedures. • Participate in developing environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access.

🎯 Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a Preferred. • Ability to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week; weekends and evenings required. • Strong communication skills—listening as well as written & verbal communication—and ability to communicate with persons of diverse backgrounds. • Minimum of 2-3 years related work experience. • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to cultivate, motivate and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff from diverse backgrounds. • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Frequent travel within the Council area is required. • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
