📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for public sector customers and prospects • Connect DevSecOps strategy, security, and compliance goals to business and mission outcomes • Provide technical consulting and strategic guidance during the pre-sales process • Deliver executive-level thought leadership on DevSecOps, security, and compliance • Build and maintain relationships with CISOs, CSOs, CTOs, and chief security architects • Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams • Develop public sector content and support media engagement opportunities • Educate customers on the GitLab platform and related technologies to enable successful deployment • Assist with requests for information and government publication responses • Participate in government working groups, standards discussions, and demonstrations • Curate and communicate public sector field feedback • Contribute to sales strategy, playbooks, enablement, and reusable technical content • Represent GitLab in customer and industry conversations; inform go-to-market strategy and product direction

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in DevSecOps strategy, application security, and compliance for regulated environments, including providing risk-based guidance • Experience selling to, supporting, or working within the public sector • Experience creating and delivering technical thought leadership content, including presentations, demos, and written materials, independently • Working knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and modern engineering and operations practices • Experience with cloud computing and modern platform architectures that support secure software delivery • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical strategy to executives and engineers • Comfort working in a fully remote, distributed, and asynchronous environment • Ability to coordinate across time zones and adapt schedules to customer and internal stakeholder needs • Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, solutions architecture, or comparable customer-facing IT roles • Experience using GitLab, or willingness to learn quickly, to support customer conversations and demonstrations • Living in the Washington D.C. Metro area preferred • Successful completion of a background check, as permitted by applicable law
