📋 Description

• Translate, edit, and/or transcribe legal documents and audio files involving law enforcement and legal subject matter from English to Spanish • Edit legal documents such as affidavits and depositions using legal terminology in English and Spanish • Follow government client style guides and quality standards • Use domain-specific terminology • Review and certify other translators’ work quality as needed • Mirror source document formatting in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Use CAT tools such as Trados Studio

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. citizenship • Willingness to complete required documentation, fingerprinting, and obtain a U.S. security clearance • At least two years of experience translating and editing legal documentation • ATA, NAJIT, or ProZ certification for English-to-Spanish translation • Availability for at least 15 hours per week to accept assignments • Highly proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with ability to mirror source document format • Familiarity with CAT tools such as Trados Studio • Advanced Proficiency level 3-plus in English and Spanish across reading, speaking, listening, and writing, as assessed by the ILR scale • Strong command of legal terminology in English and Spanish
