📋 Description

• Provide on-site professional automotive, business, and computer technical support to GM retail and wholesale communities • Diagnose and direct repairs on customer vehicles to reduce vehicle repurchases and warranty expense • Provide third-level on-site support for automotive technical and Techline issues escalated through GM processes • Respond immediately to dispatch cases involving vehicle-down or potential repurchase situations • Collaborate with GM District Managers-Aftersales, Regional CAM, BRSM, Business Resource Center, Northeast Regional team, Vehicle/Powertrain Brand Quality, Engineering, and dealership personnel • Review and improve dealership comeback processes and service readiness • Use predictive analytics to identify high-repurchase-potential vehicles and assist dealers • Review Preliminary Information bulletins and communicate authorized field-fix information • Conduct ad-hoc dealership training on Techline tools, applications, diagnostic tools, and equipment • Troubleshoot dealership service-department IT hardware and Techline tool problems through resolution • Address dealership customer problem-resolution needs by phone or at dealership locations • Report dealership state of health and service readiness • Assist dealers with technician recruitment and retention when staffing contributes to buybacks • Develop relationships with GM national and regional service operations, brand quality, and engineering teams • Represent GM as the field resource and spokesperson for automotive technical and Techline product information • Provide Field Product Reports to Vehicle/Powertrain Brand Quality Managers and GM Engineering • Support BBB arbitration hearings and legal cases, including lemon-law lawsuits • Provide warranty waste-reduction suggestions to FSE Leadership and the BQM Team

🎯 Requirements

• Must currently live within the Andover, Massachusetts territory or be willing to relocate to the Andover area • 100% USA geographic mobility required for this and future field moves • Extensive hands-on Automotive Dealership Service Department or equivalent vehicle diagnostic and repair experience • Knowledge and experience with GM Essential Service tools • State Automotive Technician Certifications as required by state/local law; if relocated, certification in the new state within one month • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Proficiency with MS Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent email/calendar application • Ability to manage, resolve, document, and close dispatch cases within required timeframes • Ability to build and maintain relationships with dealership management teams • Ability to work with minimal direction and self-train to maintain and increase skills • Ability to create and provide specialized training • Excellent communication and time-management skills • Self-motivated and proactive approach to meeting and exceeding customer expectations • Ability to travel at least 50% or more on a frequent basis • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle regularly and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review • Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future • Preferred: 10 or more years of hands-on automotive dealership service department or equivalent diagnostic and repair experience • Preferred: familiarity with the GM Comeback Process and GM Customer Assistance Operations • Preferred: vocational, technical, associate, or bachelor’s degree • Preferred: proficiency with Data Bus Diagnostic Tools, Pico Scope, computer hardware setup, internet and wireless communications • Preferred: ASE A1-A9 plus Master Technician, B2-B5 plus Master Technician, T1-T8 plus Master Technician, and L1-L3 certifications • Preferred: knowledge of GM Global Connect Service Applications and GM Service Training College • Preferred: extensive knowledge of GM vehicle control systems, controller area networks, GM LAN, and related systems • Preferred: 100% completion of GM Service Training requirements, including GM Master Technician in one or more training paths • Preferred: GM World Class Technician credentials • Preferred: knowledge of LAN/WAN IT infrastructure
