📋 Description

• Own Snowflake platform operations and health across development, test, and production environments • Maintain ownership and inventory of critical platform assets • Design and automate role-based access, object ownership, grants, and access lifecycle controls • Partner with Identity and Security teams on least-privilege access, identity integration, access reviews, and removal • Resolve platform issues across workloads, ingestion, dependencies, authentication, and data freshness • Perform root-cause analysis and implement durable solutions • Establish monitoring and alerts to identify issues before users are affected • Build production support practices including runbooks, escalation paths, recovery procedures, and rollback capabilities • Participate in incident response and validate recovery approaches • Cross-train colleagues to eliminate single points of dependency • Manage Snowflake consumption visibility, trends, forecasts, thresholds, and warehouse/workload optimization • Strengthen change management through version control, testing, peer review, automation, and controlled promotion • Coordinate release readiness and regression testing across Snowflake, connected applications, vendor integrations, and AWS dependencies • Report on reliability, access hygiene, consumption, and outstanding risks • Simplify platform complexity, build reusable automation, maintain documentation, and apply AI thoughtfully while protecting data and production quality

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience across data platforms, cloud engineering, or data engineering, or equivalent demonstrated technical depth • Substantial hands-on experience operating Snowflake in production • Strong SQL and Python skills • Experience automating operational work and investigating complex production failures • Deep practical knowledge of Snowflake security and operations, including roles, grants, object ownership, warehouses, tasks, stored procedures, and operational telemetry • Experience managing enterprise identities, service credentials, least-privilege access, and access lifecycle controls • Ability to understand platform consumption and optimize workloads across cost, performance, and reliability • Experience with Git-based development, peer review, automated testing, controlled releases, monitoring, incident response, and documented recovery procedures • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience • Comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, focus, regular computer/device use, clear communication, and occasional movement • Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
