📋 Description

• Serve as the strategic leader and full P&L owner for the Fresh Grocery category, covering Produce, Meat, and Seafood • Drive growth, profitability, and end-to-end execution of the fresh grocery business • Manage gross sales, margin contribution, shrink mitigation, and corporate net profitability targets • Direct vendor relationships, contract negotiations, vendor performance, quality compliance, and COGS • Align Merchandising, Field Operations, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Marketing around scalable farm-to-shelf processes • Design regional and localized product assortments based on customer demand, dietary trends, and seasonal availability • Own pricing frameworks and promotional cadences • Establish and enforce quality standards, transit flows, and cold-chain integrity • Set visual merchandising directives, planograms, and display guidelines for in-store and e-commerce experiences • Build training programs and labor metrics for store-level fresh preparation, handling, and rotation

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in grocery retail or fresh food operations • At least 3 years directing high-volume Fresh categories such as Produce, Meat, and/or Seafood • Extensive experience in direct vendor management, supplier diversification, strategic contract negotiation, and SLA enforcement • Proven experience managing full P&L performance for a complex fresh business line • Demonstrated success operating in matrixed corporate environments and aligning Merchandising, Logistics, and Field Operations • Strong knowledge of perishable supply chain networks, cold-chain logistics, food safety/USDA regulations, and agricultural/livestock commodity markets • Ability to interpret category data, customer loyalty insights, and operational metrics into actionable strategies • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, or related field required • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
