📋 Description

• Participate in on-the-job training covering Machinery & Equipment terminology, concepts, practices, and procedures • Review previously performed models and completed appraisal reports to understand valuation processes and concepts • Travel for job inspections and/or client meetings • Take photographs of assets during site inspections and provide notes and equipment listings • Provide analytical and research support for projects, including company and industry analysis and research on key performance indicators • Work according to established methodologies and processes under direction from a project manager • Communicate with bank clients and appraised companies to understand company-provided information and operational challenges • Develop a qualitative understanding of factors affecting asset values and review findings with management and clients • Assist in producing final appraisal reports containing quantitative and qualitative findings • Maintain the Gordon Brothers’ Appraisal Application database with accurate and timely contact, company, and project information • Uphold Gordon Brothers’ Core Values and contribute to strategic-plan objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in business, finance, supply chain or operations management preferred • At least 1-2 years of previous related work experience; relevant internships may qualify • Advanced proficiency with MS Word and Excel • Understanding of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets • Knowledge of industrial or other asset accounting methodologies is beneficial • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • High degree of integrity and business acumen • Demonstrated data collection, data analysis, problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management skills • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Ability to manage multiple projects with close attention to detail • Able to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment • Must be willing to travel 25-35%, including some overnight travel, for site inspections • Site inspections may require moderate physical activity including walking, bending, reaching, and/or climbing to access and visually inspect equipment • Must learn and adhere to USPAP standards as they apply to Machinery & Equipment valuations
