• Participate as a member of the healthcare survey team to ensure provider compliance with DNV guidelines, principles, and written instructions • Independently survey healthcare organizations throughout the United States • Analyze and determine healthcare organizations’ compliance with applicable standards and ISO principles • Prepare management reports linked to standard nonconformities, potential system vulnerabilities, and organizational risk points • Communicate and engage with healthcare organization staff on standards-based issues to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities • Supervise and guide or train other survey team members where applicable • Attend scheduled educational calls • Complete ongoing training and educational requirements • Participate in other DNV activities as assigned
• Physician Surveyor: degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) and current, valid state-issued medical licensure • Nurse Surveyor: graduation from an approved school of nursing and current, valid state-issued RN (BSN) license • Minimum five years of experience within the healthcare environment or a related field such as risk or quality management • Excellent customer service skills • Working efficiency in MS Office, including creating accurate and timely reports • Ethical standards • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites up to 100% of the time, including mostly overnight stays, travel outside normal working hours, and occasional weekends • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Ability to speak comfortably in public and demonstrate critical thinking, interpersonal, problem-solving, interviewing, teamwork, organizational, analytical, and empathetic skills • Ability to communicate effectively, respond calmly, and make decisions when assessing practices and procedures against DNV accreditation or certification requirements • Affable style • Valid driver’s license and ability to rent and drive a car and use public conveyances when required • Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening • Ability to work in settings with infectious diseases • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities • Ability to walk and stand for long periods, walk lengthy distances, lift, climb, stoop, push, and pull to inspect medical facilities, equipment, procedures, and cleanliness-sensitive areas • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., transport luggage and a computer during multiple-day travel, and push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel • Ability to maneuver through airports and meet other travel requirements • Immigration-related employment benefits, including visa sponsorship, are not available • Preferred: NIAHO Standards application • Preferred: ISO 9001 experience • Preferred: auditor experience and standards • Preferred: prior experience in VAD program management, joint replacement, cardiovascular, diabetes, palliative care, behavioral health, and/or neurology/stroke care
