📋 Description

• Provide information and referral services and crisis intervention services by phone and electronically to the public and community professionals 24 hours/day, 7 days/week • Interview clients and conduct thorough assessments of their needs • Identify appropriate resources • Support clients in implementing referrals and link them with other agencies when appropriate • Advocate for inquirers in contacting and utilizing resources • Conduct follow-up to ensure inquirers' needs are met • Use crisis management techniques in accordance with agency procedures • Maintain complete and accurate documentation • Stay current with ongoing training requirements for both services • Assist with community outreach activities as assigned by management • Participate in agency programs and events • Support operations during disasters as defined by agency policy • Maintain current knowledge of agency processes, policies, and procedures • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma • Experience with human services preferred • Successful completion of 40-hour classroom training required (provided by Gryphon Place) • Availability on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. for an 8-hour shift • Availability for one additional day per week on the second shift, 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. • Well-developed interpersonal skills • Excellent computer skills • Demonstrated crisis intervention skills • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues • Clear and effective communication and accurate assessment of inquirer needs • Ability to function as a team member in an experiential learning setting • Ability to effectively problem solve and resolve conflict • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to maintain professional expectations and assist individuals with diverse backgrounds • Knowledge of program procedures and the contact center's information system • Reliable, secure internet service and a cellular phone
