📋 Description

• Design and build shared platform capabilities, including reusable backend services, libraries, frameworks, and integrations • Build application-level abstractions, automation, and integration patterns for secure and reliable AWS usage • Decompose platform work, write specifications and contracts, and delegate implementation to AI agents • Step into code when complexity, debugging, or technical judgment demands it • Engineer for reuse, compatibility, safe migrations, and testability across multiple consumers • Own testing strategy and validate that generated tests provide meaningful evidence • Establish authentication, authorization, failure handling, telemetry, and deployment-safety defaults • Own production outcomes and platform adoption • Review agent and human work, respond to incidents, and work with consuming teams to support adoption and operation

🎯 Requirements

• Deep server-side engineering experience in Java, Python, C#, Kotlin, or Go • Experience designing and operating backend systems and building reusable components • Strong distributed systems fundamentals, including API and event contracts, asynchronous messaging, concurrency, idempotency, consistency, failure handling, and versioning • Hands-on AWS experience designing and operating production workloads, including compute, networking, storage, databases, messaging, and IAM • Experience with containers, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD • Experience building shared backend foundations such as service frameworks, common libraries, authentication and authorization, or integration layers • Reliability and security engineering experience in production, including observability, SLOs, incident response, resilient architectures, and secure handling of sensitive or regulated data • Testing strategy experience covering unit, integration, contract, and compatibility testing • Agentic AI as a primary development surface; ability to specify complex platform work, direct agents, and verify correctness across integrations, edge cases, and operational behavior • Production software delivery using agentic AI and ability to identify where human judgment is essential
