• Conduct one-on-one consultations to understand clients’ financial goals and assess mortgage-loan eligibility • Educate clients on mortgage products, terms, and options and provide personalized recommendations • Answer inquiries about rates, products, and application status • Assist with mortgage applications and collect required documentation • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources to generate loan prospects • Partner with production support teams to generate sales using company and online marketing resources • Coordinate, create, track, and distribute marketing materials • Build referral bases, self-generate leads, and maintain referral sources and client lists • Collaborate with underwriters, processors, realtors, and lenders throughout the loan approval process • Complete accurate 1003 applications and close at least two loans per month or six loans per quarter • Obtain borrower documentation, including paystubs, tax returns, W-2s, award letters, employment-gap letters, and bank statements • Provide needs lists and complete applications at initial borrower contact • Obtain executed disclosures within regulatory timeframes • Obtain accurate AUS findings and analyze credit reports and financial scenarios • Determine appropriate loan products and profitable pricing, and communicate fees to operations • Submit complete loan packages to processing • Lock interest rates • Review Closing Disclosures for accurate fees and cash-to-close amounts • Keep clients and agents informed and address questions and concerns • Stay current with industry regulations, lending trends, and mortgage-guideline changes • Perform other reasonable duties required by Guild Mortgage Company or the Managing Loan Officer
• High school diploma or equivalent required • At least two years of experience in mortgage lending or a related field • NMLS License required • Flexibility to meet customers outside the branch • Ability to manage multiple priorities • Strong detail orientation and highly organized • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness • Customer-service focus, patience, and professionalism • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications • Ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions • Ability to adhere to and apply process protocols in a timely manner • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards • Ability to accurately interpret visual and audio information
