📋 Description

• Research, analyze, and evaluate current-year state tax forms, vendor specifications, letters of intent, and requirements • Identify, document, and advise the company on tax changes affecting compliance with state Departments of Revenue • Assist tax software developers by researching and answering tax-related questions • Analyze moderately complex tax situations and identify fundamental tax points under current, proposed, or past law • Recommend forms to add to or remove from the existing tax product suite • Coordinate, develop, or assist with tax issue research for corporate departments including Government Relations, Media Relations, Marketing, Legal, Insurance, Software Development, Pricing & Analytics, and Field Training • Coordinate or participate in work teams analyzing and preparing summaries of passed and proposed tax law • Edit, review, and fact-check tax-related materials for accuracy and completeness • Complete assigned projects on or before agreed deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience • 1 year of experience in tax research, tax preparation, or a related field • Strong knowledge of tax law • Ability to interpret, analyze, and formulate solutions to highly complex tax situations • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly • Ability to work autonomously with focus and perform highly detailed, accurate assignments • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Proficiency with at least one online tax research tool • Understanding and previous use of a Windows-based computer system • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
