📋 Description

• Troubleshoot equipment and network problems and open and track JTAC cases to resolve problems on pre- and post-production issues. • Hold network information gathering workshops with the customer to understand the customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs. • Understand the customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedures to help in supporting a network that is available and sustainable. • Produce a written summary report on the status of design projects, equipment, and network problems regularly to the customer. • Hold technology workshops with the customer to discuss equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates, including the reasons for any problems encountered and the workarounds and/or solutions that are being tried. • Train the customer’s design, implementation, and support personnel to configure and operate the HPE Juniper Networks products. • Assist the customer in developing Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures. • Assess the health of a network based on HPE Juniper products. • Develop and maintain fault diagnosis procedures to support effective fault resolution. • Develop network operating procedures, configuration standards, and implementation plans for HPE Juniper products. • Support the production environment of HPE Juniper products within the customer infrastructure. • Support ongoing efforts in defining best-practice policies for HPE Juniper product applications used by the customer.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks. • JUNOS CLI experience. • Must have large-scale experience with routing devices MX & PTX. • An understanding of the protocols surrounding IP service provider networks. • These skills include but are not limited to: TCP/IP and MPLS fundamentals IP/Routing experience (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, Routing Policy) • Routing protocol operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms Routing policies at BGP peering points. • VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, MVPN.) Ethernet switching and 802.1Q, QoS Class of service. • Background in automation with Ansible, YAML, and HPE Juniper PyEZ. • Experience writing automation scripts in Python. • Ability to communicate effectively in crises with all levels of an organization from Engineering/Operations to CIO/CISO audiences. • Ability to refine and translate complex requirements and execute best practice solutions. • Assisted with major network upgrades, maintenance windows, and changes in the customer network. • Strong customer interface and presentation skills. • Expert-level technical certifications (JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, and CCIE) are a strong plus.
